The Mission Statement of The Village Shul Hebrew School
The Village Shul Hebrew School - VSHS - has one overarching mandate and that is to enable students to use Jewish wisdom to navigate their lives. Whether learning about ritual or relationships our objective is to draw out the Jewish value or ethic that will become a life long tool for growth. Our dynamic Hebrew language and reading program will enable students to become fluent in Hebrew reading and to be comfortable in any synagogue/Jewish community any place in the world. Our new reading buddies program in partnership with the Jewish literacy foundation young leadership group will partner dynamic older students with our children, provide mentorship and motivate our children to see that Hebrew is cool!
